Human Anatomy and Physiology - 1 Credit / Grades 11 & 12 Prerequisites: Earth Science and Biology Human A&P is an in-depth study of the structures and processes of the human body. Major body systems will be covered on both a macroscopic and microscopic scale. Histology, Epithelial membranes, the muscular system, the skeletal system, and the nervous system will be the subject of emphasis in this class. Students will be active in the lab with slide identifications and dissections. This is a college-prep class and will be taught at an elevated level with elevated expectations. It is strongly recommended that students pursuing careers in medicine or life science take this course.
