Chemistry

Chemistry - 1 Credit / Grades 11 & 12
Prerequisites:  Earth Science, Algebra, and Biology
Chemistry is an upper-level science course.  It deals primarily with matter and its interactions.  Calculations are extremely important in chemistry, so an understanding of basic algebra is important.  This is a good class for preparing students for college level science as the concepts are foreign and often theoretical.  Students will learn lab techniques, lab safety, and how to correctly write and format lab reports.  Many colleges recommend this class for enrollment.
